Adding your first source
Haun Player works with two kinds of sources. Pick whichever your provider gave you:
- Xtream Codes — choose "Xtream Codes", then enter the server URL (e.g.
http://example.com:8080), your username and password. Tap login and your Live TV, Movies and Series load automatically. - M3U / M3U8 — choose "M3U", then paste the playlist URL or open a local
.m3ufile. The playlist streams in and is cached so it opens fast next time.
Just exploring? Use the built-in demo playlist to see how the app feels before adding your own provider.
Managing profiles & sync
Each provider lives in its own profile with separate favorites and watch history. To keep profiles and favorites in sync across your Macs, sign in with Apple — your data syncs through your private iCloud, never through our servers. You can switch profiles at any time from the Profiles screen.
Customizing your categories
Providers often send dozens of categories you never watch. In Haun Player you can hide any categories you don't want and reorder the rest so your go-to channels stay at the top. Open the category settings, toggle visibility, and drag categories into the order you prefer — your layout is saved per profile.
Troubleshooting
I can't log in to my Xtream Codes account
- Double-check the server URL, including
http://orhttps://and the port number. - Confirm the username and password are exactly as your provider supplied (they are case-sensitive).
- Make sure your subscription is active and your provider allows the connection from your network — some block VPNs or specific regions.
A channel or movie won't play
- Try another channel — if everything fails, the issue is usually the provider or your connection, not the app.
- Some servers limit the number of simultaneous connections; close other devices using the same account.
- DRM-protected content (Widevine / FairPlay) is not supported and will not play.
A category is missing or out of order
- Categories you've hidden won't appear in the list — open the category settings to show them again or change their order.
- If a playlist looks outdated, pull to refresh or clear the cache so the latest data is fetched.
My favorites disappeared
- Favorites are tied to your profile. Make sure you're on the same profile you saved them in.
- If you use iCloud sync, confirm you're signed in with the same Apple account on each Mac.
Trial, purchase & refunds
Every install includes a 7-day free trial. After that, full access is a one-time lifetime purchase of US$4.99 (shown in your local currency) via the Mac App Store — no subscription. Because Apple handles all billing, refund requests must go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Restoring a previous purchase is done from within the app.
System requirements
- macOS 12.0 (Monterey) or later
- Apple Silicon or Intel Mac
- An internet connection and your own IPTV provider account or M3U playlist
